  • Commune(s):
Puligny-Montrachet

The final few vines before Le Montrachet begins. The vineyard are set on the mid-slope of the scrubby “Mont Rachet” hillside that gives its name to the village in the valley below. The high proportion of limestone in the sub-soils brings a distinct minerality to its wines.
  • Tasting Notes:
Such finesse and elan. Long, demure, fine-boned, this is Puligny of the classiest kind. Floral hints of fruit blossom, so genteel and restrained. Lovely, moreish ripe and refreshing citrus fruit. Quietly assured, refined, and with great length and intensity on the finish. A wine of beauty. Ideal with all your recipes based on scallops or Foie Gras. To be served at 10-12°C (50-54°F). Ageing potential: 5-7 years.
