The Maranges vineyard is made of a single hill whose the bedrock is composed of limestone marl, covered with scree and silt. Facing south, the middle part of the hill is mainly planted in Premier Cru where the “climat” « La Fussière » takes almost the entire length.
This wine has an expressive fruity bouquet, with notes of blackcurrant bud and spicy red berries. The taste is fresh with liquorice and peppery flavours. It is an intense wine, with smooth and warm tannins, warm tannins and a long length.
Ideal with Ossobuco or lamb chops with figs and honey.
To be served at 14-16°C.
Ageing potential: 7-10 years.
