« Les Vergers » vineyard is located at the edge of Chassagne-Montrachet, bordering the vineyards of Saint-Aubin. It is sets directly below the Premier Cru of « Les Chaumées » and just above the Premier Cru « Les Chenevottes ». Shallow soils of calcareous clay impart an elegance to the wines grown here. The age of the vines ranges from 10-65 years old.
Tasting notes:
One of Chassagne-Montrachet’s most elegant and luxurious wines, this complex bottling strikes a brilliant balance between the mineral character and the powerful, spicy character. Ripe fruit and slight flint aromatics deceive, as they guide to a palate that is broader, deeply expressive and full bodied with pure fruit and chalk, rounding out with a long mineral-tinged finish.
Ideal with noble white meats or fish like salmon.
To be served at 10-12°C.
Ageing potential: 5-7 years.
